Summary

    Audiolab 6000A

    The sound of science
Outwardly, the 6000A bears strong resemblance to the 8300A with its rotary controls and large, central OLED display. Unlike its costlier, analogue-only sibling, it incorporates high-quality D/A conversion, enabling digital sources to be connected directly without an external DAC. It supplies four digital inputs, three line-level analogue inputs, an input for a turntable, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and a dedicated headphone amp, in addition to its ability when driving loudspeakers.

    Digital circuitry
Much effort has been made to ensure the 6000A’s digital circuitry delivers the level of quality one might expect of a high-performance standalone DAC. As ever, Audiolab has turned to the ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip family to perform D/A conversion, utilising ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator to deliver ultra-low noise and high dynamic range.

No company knows more about making the most of this technically excellent, but challenging, DAC technology than Audiolab. If the circuitry that surrounds the ES9018 is not of sufficient standard, the resulting sound can seem a little cold and hard; treat it right, however, and the level of musical expression that this chip digs from the digital signal is captivating. Audiolab’s original, universally acclaimed M-DAC was one of the first home audio components to incorporate an ES9018 chip back in 2011, and the company has been honing its implementation ever since.

    circuitry
The 6000A’s discrete Class AB power amp stage delivers 50W per channel into eight ohms, with a maximum current delivery of 9 Amps into difficult loads. The output stage of the discrete power amp circuits uses a CFB (Complementary Feedback) topology, ensuring superior linearity and excellent thermal stability, as the idle current is kept independent of the temperature of the output transistors.
A substantial 200VA toroidal transformer, followed by 4x15000uF reservoir capacity (60000uF in total), helps the amp to maintain firm control of the music whilst enabling excellent dynamic range.

The preamp section is kept as simple as possible to maintain signal purity, with line input signals passing to a precision analogue volume stage. The latter covers the range from -80dB to +8dB in steps of 2dB and 1dB (step resolution increases with volume position). Much effort has gone into the physical layout of the 6000A’s circuitry, protecting the sensitive preamp section from noise interference. This, plus the use of independent low-noise power supplies for critical stages, helps to deliver a performance that rivals significantly more expensive analogue amplifiers, even before taking the 6000A’s impressive digital circuitry into account.

    Turntables and headphones
In recognition of the recent vinyl revival, Audiolab has included a phono stage for moving magnet phono cartridges – a high-quality, low-noise, JFET-based circuit with precise RIAA equalisation.

Similarly, an increasing number of people are using headphones for music listening, so Audiolab has incorporated a dedicated headphone amp with current-feedback circuitry.

    Elac Debut B6.2 Bookshelf Speakers

Improving on the B6 - a speaker with accolades from the global press and awards from industry professionals - was not an easy task. But constant improvement is what we do at ELAC, and the Debut B6.2 raises the bar for bookshelf performance higher than ever before. What competition it has starts at many times its price.

    All-New Design - All-New Debut!
Everything about Debut 2.0 has been improved, including completely redesigned custom drivers that deliver greater accuracy, and robust cabinets for even higher resolution and freedom from resonances.

    New Tweeter with Wide-Dispersion Waveguide
A new silk-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround and takes response up to 35,000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures.

    New Woven Aramid-Fiber Woofer
The revised shape of the aramid cone offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.

    New Cabinets for Easier Placement
Thick MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger, and internally braced for greater stiffness and strength, greatly reducing cabinet vibrations that cause unwanted coloration. Moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won’t compromise performance

    Elac Debut C6.2 Centre Speaker

Few speakers have garnered such critical acclaim as the original Debut Series by ELAC. They established a new value proposition, with build quality and performance never before attainable at such an affordable price. Debut “changed the game,”  and has now changed it again with the Debut 2.0  Series—proof that ELAC can’t leave well enough alone. Redesigned from the ground up, these speakers sound even more remarkable than the ones that sparked the revolution in affordable high-end sound.

Expanding reality with a wall of sound.
For full scale and power,  a serious surround system needs a center channel complementary—and equal to—the front-channel speakers. The new Debut C6.2 paints a majestic soundstage that makes movies and music come alive. New dual front ports allow placement in cabinets or against the wall without compromising bass frequencies.

    Elac Debut SUB3010 10" Subwoofer

ELAC’s new SUB3010 is designed as the perfect complement to the all-new Debut 2.0 loudspeakers, adding a powerful bass foundation to music and soundtracks that turns your system into a sensation you can feel as well as hear. Like Debut, the SUB3010 has been engineered and built to deliver huge performance at an affordable price. The compact design allows placement in almost any part of your room, and sophisticated app-controlled EQ and DSP software assure seamless integration into your system.

iOS and Android Apps are available now in their respective stores.

iOS & Android app name is SUB Control 2.0

*400 Watts Peak Power / 200 Watts RMS Power

**A Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy Android or IOS device is required to set up and operate this subwoofer.

    Enter BASH® amplification
BASH (Bridged Amplifier Switching Hybrid) amplifiers represent a “best of both worlds” solution for subwoofer amplification, combining the sound quality of Class AB with the efficiency of Class D amplifiers. While a Class AB amp uses fixed supply voltage regardless of input signal, BASH uses a modulated switched mode power supply that tracks the input signal, supplying only the necessary voltage to the Class AB amp as needed. The latest BASH technology has gone through three core evolutions and is further refined in these latest ELAC Debut subwoofers.

    Robust cabinets
Every ELAC Debut subwoofer is engineered for the long run with thick MDF outer walls and a luxurious textured vinyl finish. The cabinets of the SUB3010 and SUB3030 incorporate specially designed internal bracing to add stiffness and strength to the outer walls. This bracing greatly reduces cabinet vibration, which causes unwanted coloration to the sound. ELAC believes that the only parts of a speaker that should be moving are the speaker drivers themselves.

    Advanced Bluetooth® Control
Doing away with traditional analogue controls, the SUB3010, SUB3030, and SUB3070 subwoofers incorporate ELAC’s advanced digital control system. Simply download the ELAC SUB Control 2.0 app for your smartphone and you will have complete control. No more fumbling around the back of the subwoofer again.

    Auto EQ
Utilising the ELAC SUB Control 2.0 app and your smartphone’s microphone, the SUB3010, SUB3030, and SUB3070 subwoofers will automatically equalise to your room’s characteristics using a 12-band parametric equaliser. Manual adjustment is available as well.
