Mojo's ultra-compact design is based on the Hugo platform, but Mojo uses the new Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA, making Mojo the most advanced DAC of its type on the planet!

It has been designed to be easily operated: there are no confusing or superfluous switches — it is devoid of the bewildering number of switch options common to similar devices.

Mojo is capable of driving any headphone between 4 ohms and 800 ohms and can drive two pairs of headphones simultaneously. It can work with any music file from 44.1kHz up to 768kHz and DoP DSD files: DSD 64; DSD 128 and DSD 256. Mojo can decode a wide range of formats, too: PCM; WAV; AAC; AIFF; MP3 and FLAC files and is designed to work with all smartphones and music players. It has a full recall memory for both input selection and previous volume set level.

Input selection is fully automatic: if more than one input is active they are prioritised as USB first, coax second, optical third. The file frequency is shown clearly by an indicator colour option on the power switch, from 44.1kHz (red), 48kHz (orange) and so on, up through a rainbow of colours to bright white for DSD. The highly accurate low-distortion digital volume is controlled via two colour illuminated buttons.

Many low-cost apps now make high-resolution music files playable from all smart phones. Mojo has three different high-resolution digital inputs: optical to 192kHz, plus USB and RCA (mini-jack) which operate up to 768kHz.

Mojo utilises new advanced high-temperature battery technology that allows for faster charging (four hours) which is up to twenty hours faster than competitor units. Charging is via a standard USB port; Mojo may be played at the same time. Mojo's charging Micro USB port has a battery status and charging indicator light.

Mojo's casework is machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminium and has a hard Matt black fine finish that does not finger-mark. All inputs are denoted with a fine laser ablated permanent white lettering.

What devices are compatible with Mojo?
All iPhones that have a Lightning connection and are compatible with the Apple USB Camera Connection Kit. Android tablets that conform to the OTG standard. Windows XP and above PCs, Linux computers, and Apple Macs.

Which Leads are supplied?
Only a USB Lead for charging is supplied. You will need connections to you compatible devices. (Apple 30 pin devices are not supported).

What headphones are compatible with Mojo?
With the exception of electrostatics, Mojo is compatible with all earphones, headphones, IEMs, CIEMs, no matter how sensitive or hard to drive they are. Mojo has been developed with a massive gain range and ultra low distortion in order to satisfy all consumers. Mojo can comfortably handle designs from 4ohms all the way up to 800ohms.

I want to make the most out of Mojos Hi-Res capabilities with my iDevice, what can I do?
Due to Apples file format limitations, the standard Music app on the iPad and iPhone installed is unable to play certain file formats, i.e.. FLAC, natively. There is a paid App available on Apples App Store that will help with this - Onkyo Music Player.

How do I connect Mojo to my Android device?
In order to connect your Mojo to your Android device you will need three items; a USB OTG compatible Android device, a USB OTG (Micro B to Micro B) cable - not supplied, and a high resolution music player.

You can check whether your Android device is USB OTG compatible by referring to your manufacturers instruction manual. Once you have done this please download an high-resolution music player, such as USB Audio Player Pro or Onkyo Music Player, to work with Mojo.

Its worth noting that sometimes you are required to unlock the USB audio output function, so if you are not getting audio please refer to the settings page and make sure that the USB audio out function is enabled

Do I need a driver to work with my PC?
If youre using a Mac Computer then Mojo does not require any drivers. However, if youre using a Windows PC, then you will need to download the above driver and install it for Mojo to function.

Can I listen to streamed content, YouTube, or video footage, with Mojo?
With Apple devices, Mojo works natively, which means that you are free to listen or watch anything without limitations. However, with some Android phones you can only listen to content via your high-resolution music player app. Unfortunately some Android phones will not route audio from streaming apps, YouTube, and video footage through Mojo.

Chord currently compiling a list of natively supported devices, so check back to confirm whether your device is supported.

Can I play and charge Mojo at the same time?
Sure you can, just remember that Mojo will get hot to touch if you play and charge.

Can Mojo be charged via an external battery power bank?
So long as your battery bank has an 1w output Mojo will charge.

Why does Mojo get so hot, and is this safe?
Chord has tested Mojo in a wide variety of environments and have built in an internal thermal cut off switch which constantly monitors the temperature. Mojo will not get anywhere near hot enough to cause you, or your surroundings, any damage. It will just feel warm.

My Mojo is hot, whys it not working?
Mojo has an inbuilt thermal cutout for your safety. If Mojos internal temperature exceeds safe levels then the unit will not function. Please leave Mojo to cool, somewhere out of direct sunlight, for up to ten minutes and try again.

The function lights appear too bright, how do I turn them down?
If you simultaneously press the volume up and down button at the same time the brightness will cycle between its two states.

Can I still use the microphone on my headphone cable?
Unfortunately no, Mojo only processes the outgoing audio signal and does not take a signal back to the phone.

Can I use Mojo for live music?
Due to the Mojos powerful D2A technology unfortunately the latency round trip would be too large for this use.

I cant hear any audio, whats up?
When Mojo is successfully paired with a host device the power on button will illuminate. If this button does not illuminate then please check the USB cables connection at both ends. For music playback the Micro USB cable must be connected to the data port and not the charging port. Failing this, its best to check that no debris is lodged inside the connector.

If all of the above solutions are unsuccessful then please try a different USB lead. If you are using a poor quality USB lead or a lead thats over 1.5m then Mojo many not function as intended.

Finally, if you are using a Windows computer then you will need to install the driver that we have provided above. If you are using your Mojo with an Android device then you will need to make sure that it is OTG (On The Go) compatible. Please refer to your device manufacturers specifications.

Is it true that Mojo is entirely designed and manufactured in England?
Indeed it is, Chord has been doing it this way since time began.
