All the information below is valid for purchases made on or after 01/01/2022. For purchases made before this date, the warranty details will be provided on your sales receipt or can be obtained by getting in touch with our Customer Service Department.
Please note: Our free extended warranties are only available for brand new products purchased directly from our website. Any purchase made through any other selling platforms will be subject to the Standard Warranty Period only.
The list below indicates the standard warranty period supplied by each manufacturer along with which products are covered by our free 5 Year extended warranty. In the event of a claim, Peter Tyson provides and administers the extended warranty. This extended warranty is on the same basis and terms as the manufacturer’s original warranty, where possible using the same official service providers, giving you total peace of mind for the extended warranty period. In the event of a claim, please contact Peter Tyson in the first instance. Claims for work done by others won't be accepted unless previously agreed.
Please note: We may run promotions and offer longer warranties than advertised below. These will be detailed on the individual product pages and will also be visible on your order invoice.

Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover.
Warranties can only be fulfilled to goods purchased and delivered within the UK. In order for us to conduct a Warranty claim for goods taken outside of the UK, the goods will have to be returned at your own expense. Alternatively, you can make the goods available for collection at a UK address. This also applies to goods delivered to shipping companies. Subsequent to a successful warranty claim, goods can only be re-delivered to a UK address.
Free warranties provided for TVs, are provided by the Manufacturer/Supplier, and are bound by their own individual terms and conditions. If you need further clarification, please contact us.
All Peter Tyson Extended Warranties are only valid for the original purchaser and are not transferable.

At Peter Tyson we pride ourselves on prompt, efficient delivery. Please note that the daily cut off time for all next day delivery services is 3pm.
As standard, items are dispatched on a next working day service. If ordered before 3pm, your goods will be dispatched the same day. This is subject to stock availability and excludes weekends. For an additional fee, early weekday delivery options are available. These options are presented at checkout. See below for further delivery options.
Orders placed before 3pm on a Friday will be delivered the following Monday, unless you have selected a weekend delivery option. Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday will be despatched the following Monday.
Next day deliveries are applicable to the UK mainland and are free of charge unless stated. Orders under £100 will carry a £5.00 next working day deliver surcharge. We do not deliver our goods outside of the UK.
Unfortunately, due to their fragile nature, we cannot accept TV orders for delivery to none UK mainland postcodes - see the list of excluded remote and off-shore postcodes below. All other items to these regions carry courier imposed surcharges of £20 for the first two items, plus £8.50 per additional item* and are subject to a 2-3 working day delivery service.
To ensure reliable, undamaged delivery of televisions - TVs will be shipped with Fedex and for larger TVs, our 2 man delivery service with BJS rather than with our standard next working day courier.
*Where possible, if additional cables or selected small accessories are ordered along with a main product over £100, we will always try to send the additional cables at no extra charge.
Saturday & Sunday Service: Please Note DPD only collect from us on weekdays (Mon - Fri) - We are unable to dispatch orders on Saturday or Sunday.
The order cut-off time for weekend deliveries is Friday 3pm.

Television, Appliances, and Larger Speaker Deliveries
Please note: Large TV, large appliances, and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands.
BJS - Two-man delivery for large TVs and Appliances
Our larger TVs and large appliances (excluding American Fridge Freezers) are delivered by our two-man, white glove specialist courier to your door - BJS Two-Man.
Your consignment will be sent on a 2 day delivery service (for orders placed before 3pm, Monday to Friday). Deliveries are made via BJS Two-Man between the hours of 07:00 and 21:00, and are delivered to your door only (ground floor deliveries only).
Upon Despatch, BJS Home Distribution will contact you via email or text to confirm the date and day of delivery. You will receive an automatic 3 hour time slot the night before delivery. The driver will call you 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to arriving on the day of delivery.
Upon delivery, please ensure all packing of items are carefully checked before signing. All damages need to be reported to Peter Tyson within 2 working days of delivery. Once a delivery has been confirmed, if it is then cancelled or if nobody is there to take delivery, additional charges may apply for re-delivery.
Deliveries are Monday to Friday only, UK mainland regions only. TVs are dispatched free of charge to UK Mainland postcodes (see below for exclusions) and Large Appliances are charged at £35 per item with BJS.
Please note: We only offer our standard BJS delivery service to ground floor properties and blocks of flats with a working lift that is large enough and has sufficient weight capacity to accommodate the ordered goods. Our ground floor room of choice deliveries can include a maximum of 2 flights of stairs where a lift is not available. Any items which are 85kg or over, will be delivered to ground floor only. Please call us if this affects your order, as undelivered products caused by this problem, will incur a redelivery charge.
Fedex - Free 2 weekday delivery
Generally, television purchases of 50" and below will be transported via Fedex, although there may be some exceptions. All items sent out with Fedex (for orders placed before 3pm) are on a 2 working day service or with the chargeable upgrade to a next working day service for £20 per order. Next working day and 2 working day deliveries are Monday to Friday only. A Saturday service is available for orders placed before 3pm on Friday, charged at £30 (plus £20 per additional item) and will be presented as an option at the checkout.

Palletforce - 2 weekday pallet service for American Fridge Freezers
Due to their size, American Fridge Freezers are sent with Palletforce on a 2 working day, kerbside delivery service. Delivery is only available from Monday to Friday (there is no weekend delivery option), and the order cut-off time for same day dispatch is 3pm on Monday to Friday (subject to stock). Palletforce deliveries are limited to UK Mainland postcodes only (see Restricted Postcodes below), and delivery is charged at £80.
Appliance Delivery Information
Below you will find the delivery information regarding appliance size/type and geographical location.
Large Appliances - (Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Fridge Freezers etc).
Free Local Delivery Service (Cumbria, SW Scotland and NE England*) 2-3 working days.
Within our free delivery service, we will deliver the product to a valid address and we will carry the product into a room of the customer’s choice providing it is straightforward and feasible safe for us to do so. Our delivery engineers reserve the right to refuse delivery to a particular room if it is not straight forward. In these instances, we will leave the product in a convenient place.
Also, in addition to delivery to these local postcodes we can offer an Installation and Recycling service (Selectable at the Checkout) these are charged at £39.99 for Standard Installation and an additional £20 for Recycling.
Our Installation service:
✓ Disconnect the existing appliance ✓ Un-box the new product and remove the transit bolts ✓ Connect your appliance to a suitable water supply within 1.5 metres of your product and an electrical socket ✓ Connect the waste hose to suitable spigot, down pipe and existing waste connections ✓ Level the appliance and check that it’s fully working and operational ✓ Take the packaging from your new appliance away. If you add recycling to your order, we will also take your old appliance away for recycling
Our Installation Service only includes connecting to existing points and fixings. This does not include installing or moving plumbing, connection points or electrics. Installing new points or moving existing points is the customer’s responsibility we can recommend local tradesmen however this will be at the customer’s expense and we not accept any liability for their work.
Unfortunately, our Installation Service excludes all gas appliances. It is the customer’s responsibility to find a gas safe engineer to connect the appliance. Any work conducted by a third part gas safe engineer will be at the customer’s expense and we will not accept any liability for their work.
We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense.
In the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ.
Our Installation prices do not include installation of commercial appliances or installation within commercial premises. These services are available but would be subject to site survey and prices would need to be calculated and quoted accordingly.
We reserve the right to refuse installation should our engineers think that the existing electrical or plumbing points are unsafe and in need of maintenance or if they are unable to install to existing furniture.

The same team responsible for the groundbreaking new series of AudioQuest AC power cables - AudioQuest's founder, William Low, and Director of Power Products, Garth Powell - has created what are simply the most transparent, get-out-of-the-way immersive speaker cables ever made. The Mythical Creatures series - ThunderBird, FireBird, and Dragon—are not merely an incremental evolution; their introduction represents a category advance in speaker cable design.
Building on a solid base of familiar AQ technologies, Garth and Bill specifically focused on addressing one of the most vexing issues plaguing speaker cable design: the mismatch between the amplifier’s source impedance and the speaker’s load impedance.
All previous attempts to address this issue chose to move the speaker cable’s characteristic impedance to a value closer to the nominal impedance of the speakers. All such attempts failed because a speaker’s impedance changes with frequency, and the amplifier’s output impedance is something else altogether.
By eliminating the Mythical Creatures speaker cable’s characteristic impedance, current compression and distortion of the signal (current) transient is significantly reduced. The result is dynamic contrast, transient response, and bass slam that are rendered seemingly without effort.
These new Mythical Creatures ZERO speaker cables may be used in one of two ways: either as ideal Full-Range cables, or, in combination with a dedicated BASS cable, in a BiWire cable assembly of unparalleled performance. ZERO: NO CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCE FOR UNCOMPRESSED CURRENT TRANSFER
The integrity of any audio transient (instantaneous peak-to-peak voltage swing and current) delivered from a power amplifier to a loudspeaker has always been compromised. Whether the amplifier is valve or transistor, regardless of class of operation, the amplifier’s source impedance and loudspeaker’s load impedance are never critically matched. The speaker cable’s characteristic impedance is yet another culprit in a highly compromised non-linear electrical circuit. AudioQuest has always stated that all cables cause damage because the output is never as good as the input. However, by eliminating a speaker cable’s characteristic impedance, AQ’s ZERO Technology is an unprecedented step towards reducing that damage. The result is greater dynamic contrast, better audio transient response, and bass slam that are rendered seemingly without effort because the cable is not electrically restricting (strangling) the music.
GROUND-NOISE DISSIPATION (GND)
This extremely effective patented common-mode noise-rejection technology is deployed on the ground path in almost all AQ AC Power cables, in addition to in AQ Bass & Mid-range model speaker cables. The effectiveness of GND compromises audio above 10,000Hz, preventing the dedicated Bass & Mid-range cable from being ideal for Full-Range use.
SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors prevent electrical strand-to-strand interaction, major sources of distortion. Surface quality is critical because a conductor can be considered as a rail-guide for both the fields within a conductor, and for the magnetic fields that extend outside the conductor. The astonishingly smooth and pure surface of all AudioQuest’s Perfect-Surface metals nearly eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity compared to lesser materials. Extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper+ further minimises distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metal conductor.
CARBON-BASED LINEARISED NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)
Today’s environment is saturated with radio-frequency noise that is extremely difficult to filter or reject. The frequencies of this noise from satellites, cellular towers, and Bluetooth, etc., are so extremely narrow that a conventional shield, or a series or shunt filter, is wholly inadequate. Much of the low-level signal that carries the harmonics and spatial cues that define high-resolution audio is masked by induced radio-frequency noise. AQ’s comprehensive Linearised Noise-Dissipation System combines multiple shields and a carbon-based linearised resistive network that turns most of this noise into heat. By "linearised," we mean that the system is equally effective across extremely wide bandwidth, rather than at selected frequencies only, as is more common. The remaining bad energy is effectively drained away from the sensitive amplifier circuits via directionally controlled signal and shield conductors.
72V DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM WITH CARBON-LEVEL RADIO-FREQUENCY TRAP (DBS)
All insulation is also a dielectric whose electrical properties affect the integrity of the signal. When the insulation is unbiased, dielectric-involvement (absorption and non-linear release of energy back into the signal flow) causes different amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a significant problem for very time-sensitive multi-octave audio. AudioQuest’s multi-patented DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field which saturates and polarises (organises) the molecules of the insulation. This minimises the nonlinear time delays, resulting in clearer sound emerging from a “blacker” background. The inclusion of an RF Trap (a technology developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series of power products) in the DBS battery pack further reduces radio-frequency noise. The DBS battery packs will last for many years. A test button and LED allow for the occasional battery check.
THUNDERBIRD BIWIRING
When possible, running separate cables to the treble and bass “halves” of a speaker considerably reduces distortion. BiWiring keeps the large magnetic fields associated with bass energy out of the treble cable, allowing the delicate upper frequencies to travel a less magnetically disturbed path, like taking the waves out of the water when you swim. The Rocket models of AQ speaker cable have two autonomous internal constructions, facilitating proper BiWiring within a single cable. The Type models of AQ speaker cable can be doubled-up, using one for treble and one for bass. However, doubling-up AQ’s ZERO Technology cables can be less of an improvement because of ZERO’s unrestricted wide bandwidth – using two ZERO Full-Range cables can actually allow more RF energy into the amplifier, whereas using a BASS with GND Bass & Mid-range cable in combination with a ZERO cable for Treble significantly reduces total RF Noise. The BASS cable’s patented Ground-Noise Dissipation (GND) drains RF energy away from the amplifier’s output. When properly implemented, BiWiring has always been a way to get better performance for the same or less money. With GND, the improvements from BiWiring are considerably more dramatic. ThunderBird BASS with GND is an ideal cable for the bass and mid-range inputs of a BiWirable or TriWireable loudspeaker when used in combination with ThunderBird ZERO, FireBird ZERO, or Dragon ZERO Full-Range cable on the treble input.
MYTHICAL CREATURE COLD-WELDED TERMINATIONS
Mythical Creature cables are Cold-Welded to AudioQuest’s extremely pure Red Copper Spades or Bananas. The bare copper is submerged (hung) in a vat of pure silver instead of being tumbled in a lower-grade solution. AudioQuest speaker breakouts and plug casings are not metal in order to not disrupt the signal’s magnetic field, and to not induce RF Noise into the conductors.
