Why Choose a Short Throw Projector?
Short throw projectors sit between traditional long-throw models and ultra-short throw units, typically requiring somewhere between half a metre and two metres of distance to the screen, depending on the desired image size. This makes them an excellent solution for smaller rooms, home offices, or spaces where a full-length throw distance simply isn't available.
Because they need less distance than a standard projector, short throw models reduce the amount of shadow-casting that can occur when someone walks between the projector and the screen, and they're often easier to position on a low shelf or table rather than requiring a ceiling mount. This makes them popular for both home use and presentation settings, such as home offices or small meeting rooms.
If you like the idea of a projector but don't have the room depth for a traditional long-throw model and don't need the very short distances of an ultra-short-throw unit, a short-throw projector offers a practical middle ground.
