Made in Britain
Fell Audio products are exclusively British-made with beautiful designs, made to inspire both existing and next-generation music lovers. Fell Audio’s in-house electronics have been developed over three years and offer a level of specification, componentry and build, usually found in products costing several times more.
The products benefit from purpose-made PCBs, designed, populated and finished in the UK, ensuring the Fell Amp maintains crisp ergonomics, high-quality engineering standards, a useful range of facilities, plus excellent all-around acoustic performance and connectivity.
A Classy Class D
Fell Audio pulls no punches with the genuine nature of its power output. The Fell Amp's amplification stage delivers an effortless 89 W stereo performance @ 8ohms, with a maximum current delivery of 6 Amps into a 4ohm load. Benefiting from the controlled and efficient nature of Class D amplification, the Fell Amp delivers power while sounding natural and reassuringly analogue. Backing up this forward-thinking amplification is a substantial 170VA toroidal transformer, ensuring firm control of the music whilst enabling excellent dynamic range.
Making the connection
Whatever you need to connect: analogue; digital; wireless or even your vinyl player; the Fell Amp has been carefully designed to give you the inputs you need without looking like an over cluttered 1920s telephone switchboard!
Three stereo analogue inputs cater for CD players and line-level sources, a coax and optical input expand this for any digital sources, while a Bluetooth aptX receiver provides a solution for wireless audio playback.
Vinyl revival
The Fell Amp also offers an integrated phono pre-amp input, boasting an excellent phono stage for moving magnet phono cartridges. This high-quality, low-noise MM phono circuit has precise RIAA equalisation that sets a benchmark in ‘built-in’ phono preamplification.
Not only that, the Fell Amp can make your listening experience a little more private, with a dedicated headphone output. Another box ticked for this highly integrated amplifier!
Captivating control
Fell Audio’s designers and engineers wanted to ensure interacting with the Fell Amp is as captivating and enjoyable as the audio performance. Opting for capacitive touch control makes selecting inputs quick and simple while prolonging the life of the product - no moving parts to eventually fail here.
Cranking up the volume? The Fell Amp gives you a sleek visual indication via 11 LEDs, lighting and fading accordingly, as volume is adjusted to the desired level.
Let's talk DACs
As is the standard across the entire Fell Audio range, the Fell Amp benefits from the brilliant ESS Sabre ES9018K2M chip. Normally found in products priced in the thousands (and rarely found at the Fell Amp's price point), Fell Audio’s designers really are spoiling the ears!
Thanks to ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, the Fell Amp will deliver ultra-low noise and high dynamic range across its digital inputs, impressing even the pickiest audio connoisseur.
