OLED Televisions

Experience unparalleled visual brilliance with our range of OLED TVs. This state-of-the-art display technology delivers picture quality that is truly exceptional.

Diverging from traditional LED TVs, OLED televisions employ organic compounds that emit light upon receiving an electric current. Through the utilisation of self-illuminating pixels instead of a backlight, these TVs bring dark shades to life with remarkable depth and vividness, ensuring that images leap off the screen. This means that OLED TVs achieve genuine black levels, vibrant colours and striking contrast, ultimately providing an immersive viewing experience that feels incredibly realistic.

An OLED television is a type of television display technology based on the properties of organic light-emitting diodes. Unlike traditional LED-backlit LCD TVs, OLED TVs have individual organic cells that emit their own light source, allowing for advantages such as deep blacks, smooth motion and super-thin screens. They can achieve deep blacks by turning off individual LEDs when displaying black, resulting in excellent picture quality.

OLEDs are known for their self-emitting properties, meaning they don't require a backlight to generate the image. This makes OLED TVs exceptionally thin and energy-efficient compared to other TV display technologies. While they may not be as bright as LED-backlit TVs, OLEDs offer outstanding picture quality.

OLED and 4K serve different purposes; some 4K TVs use OLED display technology, while others don’t. 4K relates to the resolution of a TV screen, offering a higher level of detail with 3840 by 2160 pixels. This means more pixels and a clearer picture, especially when viewing content in 4K. On the other hand, OLED is a display technology that involves organic light-emitting diodes. It focuses on how the TV screen produces and emits light. OLED TVs use self-lit and individually controlled pixels, providing remarkable contrast, colour, high refresh rates and virtually no motion blur or judder. 4K enhances image detail, while OLED revolutionises how the image is displayed with superior contrast and colour. The choice between them depends on your priorities; sharper images in the case of 4K TVs or an exceptional viewing experience in the case of OLED TVs.

The lifespan of an OLED TV can vary based on usage patterns. OLED TVs have a lifespan measured in hours of usage rather than years. Factors like content watched and usage intervals play a role. For heavy users who watch content that puts a high load on pixels and processors, an OLED panel might last around 5 years. For moderate users, it could last about 9 to 10 years, while for light users it might endure for 15 years or more. The technology continues to improve in preventing issues like burn-in, so newer models are expected to last longer.
