XGIMI was founded in 2013 in Chengdu, China, with a clear and focused ambition: reimagine what a projector could be for the modern home, moving well beyond the bulky, complicated devices traditionally associated with business presentations. From its earliest days, XGIMI set out to build genuinely user-friendly, design-forward smart projectors capable of transforming any room into a cinematic viewing space.

That ambition led to a string of genuine industry milestones: an early Android-based smart projector, the acclaimed Z4 Aurora in 2016, and the world's first 1080p portable projector that same year — an achievement that helped XGIMI become one of the top five projector brands worldwide within just five years of launching. Collaborations with respected partners including Harman Kardon, Texas Instruments, Google, and Dolby have brought premium audio and picture technology into XGIMI's devices, while the brand has collected more than 30 international design honours, including iF Design, Red Dot, and Good Design awards.
