The Advance Paris PlayStream A5 combines Class AB amplification with comprehensive network streaming, delivering 2 x 80W into 8Ω. Its connectivity includes analogue and digital inputs, phono, USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, while the PCM1796 DAC supports digital sources. DAB+ and FM radio add broadcast options, with optional Bluetooth support. High-Bias operation and a front-mounted VU meter complete its traditional Hi-Fi design.

Connected Hi-Fi Amplification
The Advance Paris PlayStream A5 combines integrated Class AB amplification with comprehensive network streaming, making it a versatile centrepiece for a modern Hi-Fi system. Delivering 2 x 80W into 8Ω, it is designed to provide detailed, dynamic sound while offering the flexibility to connect a wide range of traditional and digital sources.

Network Streaming
Built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity provide access to a broad selection of streaming services, including Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz and TIDAL, alongside internet radio platforms such as TuneIn, iHeartRadio and vTuner. The PlayStream A5 can also access music stored on compatible smartphones, tablets, computers and NAS drives, with DLNA and AirPlay compatibility providing additional ways to stream music around the home.

Extensive Connectivity
The PlayStream A5 offers six analogue inputs, including a dedicated phono input for connecting a compatible turntable. Four digital inputs, comprising one coaxial and three optical connections, provide options for digital source components, while USB connectivity adds further flexibility. A PCM1796 DAC handles digital audio conversion, helping the amplifier deliver clean and detailed playback from compatible digital sources.

Radio & Wireless Audio
In addition to network streaming, the PlayStream A5 features both DAB+ digital and FM tuners for convenient access to broadcast radio. Bluetooth streaming is also available using an optional X-FTB01 or X-FTB02 receiver, with the latter supporting aptX HD for higher-quality wireless playback from compatible devices.

High-Bias Performance
High-Bias operation allows the PlayStream A5 to deliver Class A-like performance during the first few watts of output, adding another dimension to its listening characteristics. A front-mounted VU meter provides a visual indication of amplifier activity, while the 430mm-wide chassis gives the A5 the proportions of a traditional full-size Hi-Fi component.
