Audio Pro was founded in Helsingborg, Sweden, in 1978 by engineer Karl-Erik Steil, who built the company's reputation on a single innovation: ACE-Bass technology, a way of extracting deep, controlled bass from genuinely compact speaker cabinets. It was a novel idea at the time, and it set the tone for everything Audio Pro has done since — proving that small speakers don't have to mean small sound.
