Bluesound

Bluesound launched in 2013 as the youngest brand from Canada's Lenbrook Group — the company behind the respected NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers names, with roots in audio distribution stretching back to 1978. Before it had a name, the project was known internally as "Sovi"; what emerged was a wireless multi-room platform built specifically to answer a gap the team saw in the market — genuinely high-fidelity sound in a category dominated by convenience-first competitors.

That distinction has defined Bluesound ever since. Built around its proprietary BluOS platform, Bluesound was the first wireless multi-room system to support full 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution audio across every player in a network, even when multiple rooms are grouped together — a deliberate rejection of the CD-quality ceiling other wireless systems settled for. The lineup, including the NODE streamer, POWERNODE amplifier, and PULSE speaker series, connects to Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, and personal music libraries, with BluOS technology now shared across Lenbrook's NAD and PSB products too.

Headquartered in Ontario and sold in over 80 countries, Bluesound describes its philosophy plainly: not a computer company pretending to be an audio company, but audio people building wireless technology for other audio people — engineered by audiophiles, for audiophiles.
