Cayin
Cayin
Cayin's story begins in 1993 in Zhuhai, China, where the company was established as Zhuhai Spark Electronic Equipment Co., Ltd, with a clear founding focus: building genuinely audiophile-grade components under the Cayin name, blending Eastern manufacturing precision with a deep passion for musical fidelity. Over three decades, that focus has carried the brand from traditional hi-fi roots into a much broader, more contemporary range.
Cayin's reputation was built on vacuum tube amplification — warm, detailed, and prized by enthusiasts who value the particular character tubes bring to music — and that remains the beating heart of the brand today. But since moving into personal audio in 2013, Cayin has expanded significantly, adding digital audio players, portable amplifiers, in-ear monitors, desktop systems, and compact DACs like the RU-series dongles, all still built with the same attention to premium materials, from milled aluminium to walnut wood.
Cayin now sits comfortably in the mid-to-high-end of the global hi-fi market, valued for delivering genuinely boutique-level performance without boutique-level pricing. It's a brand built on a simple idea: exceptional sound shouldn't be limited to the very top of the price ladder.
