Fyne Audio

Fyne Audio was founded in January 2017 by a team of seven highly experienced Scottish audio engineers, led by Technical Director Dr. Paul Mills, who together brought over 200 years of collective loudspeaker design experience to a brand-new venture. The team set out with a clear ambition: to build a genuinely independent, world-class loudspeaker company rooted firmly in Scotland, free to develop new technologies and ideas without the constraints of a larger corporate structure.

Named after Loch Fyne, near the company's Glasgow home, Fyne Audio moved quickly to establish its own acoustic identity, developing proprietary technologies including the IsoFlare coaxial point-source driver, the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system for smoother, more room-friendly bass, and the FyneFlute surround for reduced distortion. That engineering shows across the range, from the retro-styled Vintage series to the flagship, hand-built F1 series, with premium and Special Production models built at the company's own Glasgow facility.

In late 2024, Fyne Audio consolidated its UK operations into a larger, purpose-built Glasgow factory, bringing R&D, engineering, and manufacturing together under one roof to expand production and accelerate new development. Backed by investors including Scottish Enterprise, and already distributing to more than 50 countries, Fyne Audio has grown quickly into an award-winning name — living proof that genuine loudspeaker expertise, given room to innovate freely, finds an audience fast.
