Klipsch
Klipsch was born in a tiny tin shed in Hope, Arkansas, in 1946, when audio pioneer Paul W. Klipsch designed and hand-built the legendary Klipschorn — a corner-loaded horn speaker created with one goal in mind: bringing the experience of live music into his own living room. Drawing on principles from Bell Labs research, Klipsch's patented design delivered a wide frequency range and an expansive, live-like soundstage unlike anything else available at the time.
That original horn-loaded philosophy — high efficiency, wide dynamic range, and low distortion — has remained the throughline across Klipsch's entire history. The company's Heritage line, including the enduring Klipschorn, La Scala, Cornwall, Heresy, and Forte, keeps Paul Klipsch's original designs in production today, while the brand has expanded into modern home theatre systems, soundbars, portable speakers, and studio-quality in-ear monitors, all still built around that hyper-efficient horn-loaded engineering.
Now headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Klipsch has spent nearly 80 years bringing the power, detail, and emotion of live music into people's homes — a mission its own founder pursued from the moment he first picked up tools in that Arkansas tin shed.
