Neo by Oyaide

NEO is a professional cable brand created by Oyaide Elec., a Japanese company whose own story began in 1952 as a small electrical wire shop in Tokyo's Akihabara district. Oyaide's move into audio came in the 1970s, when respected audio critic Saburo Egawa took an interest in the litz wire founder Kazuji Oyaide was already selling, and raised an idea that would define the company's next chapter: that sound genuinely changes depending on the wire carrying it. That encounter led directly to Oyaide's first dedicated audio cable, the OR-800, in 1980, followed by the OCB-1 power distribution box in 1985 — a product still fondly remembered by Japanese audio fans nearly four decades later.

Built on that same cable-making heritage, NEO was created specifically to serve musicians, DJs, sound engineers, and producers who need genuinely professional-grade cabling for the studio and the stage. The range spans instrument and microphone cables, multi-channel snakes, speaker and digital cables, and power leads, alongside the widely respected d+ series of USB, MIDI, and RCA cables — the latter especially prized in the DJ and electronic music community for their short, colour-coded leads built for club and turntablist setups.
