Noble Audio was founded on April 15, 2013, by Dr. John Moulton, an audiologist known throughout the industry as "the Wizard" — a nickname earned for the exquisite, hand-carved custom wood faceplates he created for his earliest in-ear monitors. Moulton's path into audio began at age eight, when his father, an otolaryngologist, brought home a Fisher stereo system; John recalls being fascinated not just by the sound but by the beautifully lacquered veneer of the cabinets themselves — an early spark of the design sensibility that would define his later work.

Moulton went on to earn a Doctor of Audiology degree alongside a bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences, a combination that proved perfect for designing in-ear monitors that were as sonically precise as they were visually distinctive. Noble's debut release, the acclaimed 10-driver K-10, immediately established the brand as one to watch, and subsequent models including the Encore, Katana, and Khan have earned Noble multiple Headphone of the Year titles. In 2018, John's brother Jim Moulton joined as 50% owner, bringing decades of legal and business experience that helped the brand expand confidently into true wireless earbuds with the award-winning Falcon Pro and FoKus series.

Now based in Texas with production spanning the globe, Noble Audio continues pushing the boundaries of in-ear audio with models like the Viking Ragnar and Ronin — proof that a hearing specialist's expertise and a craftsman's eye can combine into something genuinely magical.
