Rekkord Audio carries forward one of the most storied names in turntable manufacturing: the original factory in St. Georgen, in Germany's Black Forest, where precision mechanical engineering has been practised since 1907, rooted in the region's deep watchmaking heritage. Building on nearly 120 years of accumulated craftsmanship, Rekkord emerged as the modern continuation of that tradition, now operating under Audio Tuning Vertriebs GmbH alongside sister company Pro-Ject Audio Systems, led by turntable industry veteran Heinz Lichtenegger.

Every Rekkord turntable is still meticulously hand-assembled at the St. Georgen workshop, with 99% of components sourced from suppliers within a 25-mile radius of the factory — an extraordinary level of local integration that keeps quality control and manufacturing knowledge concentrated exactly where the expertise has always lived. That craftsmanship shows in details like Rekkord's massless spring-based downforce system, a design with roots directly in traditional watchmaking precision, engineered to optimise tracking regardless of how perfectly level the turntable sits.

Spanning both fully automatic F Series models and more hands-on M Series turntables, Rekkord is guided by a simple conviction: that if you truly want to feel music, analogue is still the way to do it. With distribution now reaching North America through VANA Ltd. and the UK through The Audio Business, Rekkord carries more than a century of Black Forest engineering into a new generation of vinyl listening.
