The Étude is a 150 W Class AB stereo power amplifier that introduces Chord Electronics’ first fundamentally new topology since 1989, drawing on advanced technologies from the aerospace industry. Designed to complement and maximise the performance of the award-winning DAVE DAC with preamp functionality, it delivers exceptionally fast power delivery, outstanding dynamics, and precise transient response, ensuring effortless control and a highly lifelike presentation.

The Étude features an advanced amplifier design built on multi-feedback and dual feed-forward error-correction technology, intelligently optimising the linearity of its high-power proprietary MOSFETs. With three independent high-frequency switch mode power supplies, advanced internal shielding, and an active cooled plenum chamber, it delivers exceptionally fast, clean and precise performance. Despite its conservative 150 W rating into 4 Ω, it can be configured in bridged mono mode to deliver up to 300 W into 4 Ω for increased power and control.
