60+ Years of Sound
Unveiled in 1963 and originally designed as a mini-Klipschorn, the La Scala is a modern update to the Klipschorn with a more contemporary sound and look, but by no means less mighty performance.
Three-Way Horn-Loaded Efficiency
Klipsch couple each driver with a precisely measured horn and optimise it for one of three pass-bands for exceptional efficiency in the La Scala AL6. This design generated greater acoustic power with less wattage and produces crystal clear sound with minimal distortion across the frequency spectrum.
Extended Phase Plug for Heavenly Highs
The La Scala pairs a K-771 compression driver with a new extended phase plug to prevent cancellations and equalise wavelengths for cleaner dispersion providing more coverage and clarity than ever before.
Tractrix Mids
The K-406M Tractrix midrange horn features a shorter throat for unparalleled presence and prevision while mumps technology improves coverage and adds small contours to help maintain frequency response to horn’s edge.
Bring Out the Bass
La Scala AL6 upgrades to a horn-loaded vented system to maximise efficiency while extending the output and lowering distortion. The K-281 30.48cm (12”) woofer with folded horn sits in a new enclosure to produce a richer and more robust bass from any room placement.
Active Crossover
Using technology from the Klipsch Jubilee floorstanding speakers, the La Scala gives users the option to add a Heritage Active Crossover. For a flat, colour-free response, the Heritage Active DSP aligns time and phrase while boosting frequencies and balancing EQ.
Redesigned Input/Output Panel
To accommodate the optional Heritage Active Crossover Klipsch have modified the I/O panel and now includes passive and active inputs and a passive output so switching setups is easy. The I/O panel is positioned on the back of the unit for cleaner look.
Made in the USA
Klipsch has always recognised the unique and critical role of a loudspeaker’s cabinet in the sound reproduction process. From the craftsmen in Hope, AR, to the engineers in Indianapolis, IN, Klipsch have always put an extraordinary emphasis on cabinet design.
Every pair of Heritage series loudspeakers is also grain-matched, using wood veneer panels that come from the same timber. The speakers then move seamlessly together through the factory, and each finished product is inspected and labelled with sequential serial numbers for perfectly matched pairs.
