Following the D-10X, the D-07X uses dual monaural ROHM BD34301EKV DACs to process discs and high-resolution audio with exceptional quality. Via USB from PC, Mac, or NAS, it supports PCM up to 768 kHz/32 bit and DSD 22.4 MHz, with Bulk Pet transfer for stable data flow. MQA playback is supported via CD, file, USB, COAX, and optical. Two high-precision, low-jitter clocks ensure accurate digital processing, while a two-mode analogue FIR filter allows users to tailor sound quality for SACD or DSD playback.

The D-07X features a left-side, asymmetric layout for the shortest, ideal audio signal path and space for high-quality analogue circuitry. Its CD/SACD drive uses Luxman’s robust LxDTM mechanism, now integrated (LxDTM-i*) to block vibration by mounting directly to the chassis side panel, ensuring precise, stable signal reading comparable to the D-10X. A die-cast aluminium disc tray minimises vibration and resonance, allowing smooth and accurate disc loading.

While precise digital processing is important, the analogue output ultimately shapes audio quality. The D-07X features a new I/V conversion system that receives differential outputs from dual BD34301EKV DACs in monaural mode, feeding four discrete, matched amplifier modules. High-quality buffer circuitry lowers output impedance and drives any integrated or control amplifier effectively. Out-of-band filtering is performed within the buffer stage, rather than a separate LPF, producing natural, smooth analogue waveforms with higher clarity and immediacy.

The D-07X’s power transformer capacity has been increased by 50% compared to our D-06u model. Large capacity filter capacitors and independent regulator blocks have been installed for each circuit to develop a highly stable overall power supply environment traditional to Luxman. Again, clean and stable power has been achieved.

The D-07X is housed in a shielded chassis structure, insulating its various signal paths from interference and digital noise. The density gradient of its cast iron legs, firmly bearing the weight of the main body, protects delicate musical signals from external vibrations transmitted through the supporting surface. Internal damping countermeasures eliminate unnecessary vibrations generated within the unit itself.

The D-07X is newly equipped with trigger input/output terminals for linking remote control signals between corresponding Luxman products.

The FL display with excellent visibility that shines on the delicate panel of blasted white finish is equipped with a 4× zoom display mode that is easy to see even from a distance. When playing the MQA format, the decoding status (Studio: Blue, Authentic: Green, Renderer: Magenta) is displayed by a three-colour LED indicator.

The AC inlet’s structure has been improved to support the weight of heavy power cables by reversing the mounting, suppressing any movement of the power cable while maintaining a stable grip.
