The Mission 778X is an integrated stereo amplifier that combines retro-inspired styling with modern hi-fi technology and versatile connectivity. Inspired by Mission's original 778 amplifier, it features a compact design, tactile rotary controls and distinctive LED level indicators. Its Class AB amplification delivers 45W per channel into 8 ohms or 65W per channel into 4 ohms, providing a capable foundation for a range of loudspeaker systems. A built-in ESS Sabre32 ES9018K2M DAC supports high-resolution digital audio, including PCM files up to 384kHz and DSD256.
Designed to accommodate both traditional and modern sources, the 778X includes two optical inputs, a coaxial digital input, USB connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX and AAC support. Its dedicated moving magnet phono stage allows a turntable to be connected directly, while two additional RCA inputs cater for other analogue components. A high-quality headphone amplifier provides a dedicated listening option, and a pre-amplifier output allows connection to an external power amplifier or subwoofer system. Combining straightforward operation with an extensive range of connections, it offers a versatile solution for contemporary hi-fi listening.
