Deep Black Design | Striking Display
Inspired by Shanling’s heritage models and following the styling set by the M9, the M8T uses precision CNC machining for Shanling’s most complex visual design, creating the main chassis from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium with an intricate wave pattern along the sides.

Flagship-Level DAC Circuit | 2x AKM AK4499EX DACs with 2x AK4191
The M8T features an independent dual configuration of flagship AKM DACs with their modulators. This one-to-one pairing eliminates clock signal distortion that can occur in simpler two-DAC, one-modulator designs, delivering cleaner overall performance, especially with high-resolution audio files.

Tuned by Shanling’s audio experts to deliver a solid and smooth sound, combining the legacy of the original Shanling M8 player with the evolving demands of today’s Hi-Fi landscape.

Dual JAN6418 Tubes | Dedicated Tube Output
Over the past 37 years, the distinctive sound of valves has featured in many Shanling CD players and amplifiers, but the M8T brings it into portable players for the first time.

A pair of low-voltage, power-efficient tubes are suspended in a custom anti-shock structure to eliminate microphonics, adding extra character to the M8T’s sound.

Trio of Output Modes | Transistor / Triode / Ultra-Linear
While the tubes are a defining feature of the M8T, the audio circuit can also operate in pure transistor mode, fully bypassing the tubes. With the addition of Triode and Ultra-Linear tube modes, the M8T offers three distinct sound profiles.

In-House Developed I/V Stage
ADI ADA45253 high-speed, low-noise amplifiers are used in a highly optimised I/V conversion stage, carefully matched with precision resistors and capacitors for ultimate performance, with additional anti-noise shielding around the DAC section for improved results and measurements.

Low-Pass Filter
Using OPA1612 for low-pass filtering, combined with thin-film resistors and Panasonic tantalum capacitors, helping achieve more efficient I/V conversion and even lower distortion.

Headphone Amplifier
The classic ADI AD8397 provides the M8T with high-current output, while maintaining a slightly warmer presentation paired with a highly transparent soundstage.

Custom FPGA Solution
Upgraded Japanese KDS active crystal oscillators at 90.3168MHz and 98.304MHz, alongside Shanling’s 4th-generation algorithm, provide improved accuracy and enhanced performance.

Upgraded Android 13 System | Open System for All Apps
The M8T runs the latest Android 13 system, ensuring long-term app compatibility and future updates. As with all open Android systems, it supports easy installation of music playback and streaming apps, enhanced by Shanling’s Android Global Lossless Output (AGLO) for true Hi-Fi audio processing.

Convenience of a Wireless World
Supports DLNA and AirPlay network streaming, connects to the Eddict Player app on Android or iOS devices for remote control, and supports over-the-air firmware updates.
