SM1.3R – Now Featuring Second-Generation R2R DAC Platform
The SM1.3R features the second generation of Shanling’s in-house developed DAC platform, first introduced with the Shanling SCD3.3 SACD player. Its upgraded R2R assembly utilises 212 ultra-precise 0.01% resistors for the 24-bit DAC module, employing a 19-bit architecture with 4-bit compensating code and an assistive push-pull differential circuit. The result is a smooth and natural R2R presentation with true high-fidelity precision and clarity.

Split Power Supply
A dedicated split power supply design separates the streaming and audio sections of the SM1.3R, helping eliminate unwanted interference between the digital and analogue stages for cleaner audio performance.

Dual 31W Toroidal Transformers
A pair of custom-made linear toroidal transformers provide exceptionally low noise and high efficiency. Additional potting treatment further reduces unwanted vibrations.

Linear power delivery is especially important for the analogue stage, offering cleaner and more stable current than conventional switching power supplies, helping the SM1.3R achieve superior high-fidelity sound.

Optimised High-End Sound Performance | Hi-Res PCM & DSD Support | Dedicated ACCUSILICON Clocks
Dedicated ACCUSILICON 45.1584MHz and 49.152MHz clocks provide improved timing accuracy and enhanced decoding performance for high-resolution audio. Combined with Shanling’s AGLO system for bit-perfect playback on Android, the SM1.3R supports Hi-Res audio up to 32-bit / 768kHz PCM and DSD512 through both the system and XMOS USB input.

Dedicated Analogue Output Stages
Separate output stages ensure optimal performance for both line-level and headphone listening. MUSES8920 op-amps deliver a clean line-out signal for external amplifiers or powered speakers, while the dedicated TPA6120 headphone amplifier provides powerful and detailed direct headphone output.
