CES 2026 started with a bang for the new year and has instantly delivered exactly what we and all TV fans wait all year for.
Samsung and LG have both revealed their latest OLED lineups at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, pushing brightness, processing power and gaming performance further than ever.
For anyone planning a premium TV upgrade in 2026, these are the four models that stand out straight away:
• Samsungs S95H and S90H models
• LGs OLED evo G6 and C6 models
These will be among the headline OLED TVs at Peter Tyson this year alongside Sony and we can’t wait to try them out later in 2026 when they release. Here’s what we know from the CES, what’s new, what’s improved, and how they compare to last year’s already excellent models.
Samsung S95H – Samsung’s 2026 OLED Flagship
The S95H sits at the very top of Samsung’s OLED range for 2026.
It builds on the success of last year’s S95F (yes, they skipped the G, we’ll give you one guess as to why), with Samsung focusing on four key areas: brightness, design, gaming performance and anti-glare. Samsung's keen to show off what it dubs as a Glare Free screen on the S95H and you can see just how effective it is in the above side by side with the S95C.
Key highlights:
• New QD-OLED panel with up to 35% higher peak brightness than S95F
• Richer colour volume and improved highlight detail
• 4K 165Hz support for next-level gaming and PC use
• Integrated connections with optional Wireless One Connect Box
• Premium metal design with ultra-slim wall mounting
S95H Sizes in inches: 48, 55, 65, 77, 83.
Samsung is clearly positioning the S95H as a no-compromise OLED for bright living rooms, serious gamers and design-led spaces.
Our biggest takeaway from the S95H aside from the brightness jump is that finally, the One Connect Box is now optional. Without the box you get 4 HDMI 2.1 ports integrated into the TV - super clean and simple. However, add in the One Connect Box and you get 4 additional HDMI 2.1 ports for a total of 8 ports – which is a world first.
Additionally, it’s being shown with a metal frame (pictured) surrounding it at CES – which Samsung says comes in the box and is the preferred way to wall mount the TV. This isn't the final finish, and other variants will be released, but details on this aren't available yet.
Samsung is clearly trying to bridge the gap between its popular Frame TVs and its flagship range of OLEDs. It’s a bold look, one that won’t be for everyone.
Samsung S90H – Flagship Features at a Lower Price Point
The S90H replaces last year’s hugely popular S90F.
While it sits below the S95H, it benefits from many of the same core upgrades — making it one of the most appealing high-performance OLEDs Samsung has released.
Key highlights:
• Around 15% higher brightness compared to S90F
• New OLED Glare Free screen for reduced reflections
• 4K 165Hz support with VRR, FreeSync and G-Sync
• Wide size range, covering most room setups
S90H Sizes in inches: 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83.
For many viewers, the S90H may well hit the sweet spot between performance, features and price.
The addition of this new Glare Free technology to the S90H is a bit of a game changer and looks to have made significant improvements overall, and we really can’t wait to compare when we get these new Samsung TVs in our stores.
Samsung also announced the R95H which is Samsungs first Micro RGB TV boasting an ultra-bright and impressively colourful display. Whether it beats out the S95H remains to be seen once reviewers get their hands on them.
LG OLED evo G6 – LG’s Brightest OLED Yet
Last year we were wowed by the brightness of the G5 OLED with its brand-new Tandem OLED panel. G5 was the brightest TV we saw in 2025 - now LG are turning things up.
The G6 becomes LG’s new OLED flagship for 2026. The G range is synonymous with the LG OLED releases (probably why Samsung avoided G this year) and often delivers some of the most cutting-edge visuals in the market, but at a mark-up.
LG has focused heavily on panel technology this year, introducing a second-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel for the G6.
Key highlights:
• New generation Tandem OLED panel with up to 27% higher peak brightness vs G5
• Significantly improved reflection reduction
• Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor for smarter upscaling and motion
• Designed primarily for flush wall mounting
G6 Sizes in inches: 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, 97
The G6 is clearly aimed at home cinema enthusiasts who want OLED performance without compromise — even in brighter rooms.
Apart from that there’s no flashy frames or external boxes like Samsung, with LG putting stronger focus on pushing the technology of their screens to the limit.
On top of this LG is also showcasing the super thin W6 Wallpaper model at CES2026. A model that’s been on hiatus for years is back. In simple terms the W6 is meant to be like having an ultra-thin G6 on your wall with an external wireless box handling all the connections.
LG OLED evo C6 – The All-Round Favourite Returns
The C-series has long been LG’s most popular OLED range and in our opinion, the C5 was the most impressive TV of 2025 both in performance and price, so a new model has a lot to live up to.
For 2026, the C6 brings a meaningful boost, particularly at the larger screen sizes.
Key highlights:
• Larger 77” and 83” C6 models gain the new RGB Tandem OLED panel
• Alpha 11 Gen 3 processor across the range
• Excellent gaming support with HDMI 2.1 and VRR
• Broad size range from compact rooms to large living spaces
C6 Sizes in inches: 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83
The C6 is likely to continue to be one of the safest recommendations for anyone wanting a premium OLED that does everything well and will have performance comparable to the 2025 G5 model.
The more budget friendly B6 OLED is also set to come out this year, with details still to be released.
How Do These Compare to Last Year’s OLED TVs?
It’s worth remembering that 2025 was a strong year for OLED.
Samsung’s S95F and S90F delivered excellent brightness and gaming performance. LG’s G5 and C5 impressed with superb colour accuracy, processing and the G5s incredible brightness.
The 2026 models refine those strengths rather than reinventing them.
You can expect:
• Higher peak brightness across the board
• Better reflection handling in real-world rooms
• Faster, smarter processing
• More advanced gaming features
If you already own a 2024 or 2025 OLED, the jump is evolutionary rather than essential — but for buyers who are upgrading after several years, 2026 sets a whole new vivid and bright benchmark.
Still Worth Considering: Last Year’s OLED TVs
While the new models are exciting, there’s also great value to be found right now. We still have excellent availability on last year’s Samsung, LG and Sony OLED TVs, including the S95F, S90F, LG G5 and C5 and the award winning Sony TVs.
These remain outstanding performers and are currently available with significant discounts while stocks last (and they won't last long). If you’re planning an upgrade and want premium OLED performance for less, last year’s models are well worth a look.
